Special Notes

Barbara became interested in healthy eating habits during an eight-year stay in Japan - a country with an abundance of delicious, healthy food and low rates of cancer, heart disease and obesity. Barbara began her studies in nutrition while living near Kyoto and she learned about fine cooking from a top Japanese restaurateur.

After returning to the UK and qualifying as a nutritionist, Barbara made it her mission to devise a meal plan that would incorporate the beneficial characteristics of a Japanese diet, but appeal to Western tastes and her national award winning company Nutrichef was born.

Barbara is the health columnist for Dorset Society and the on-line magazine, Plus +. She has written articles for Zest Magazine and Integrated Cancer and Oncology News. She is also an advisor on nutrition to schools, the media and various well-known sports people. Barbara will lead a workshop, Ten Steps to a Healthy Diet and offer a Q&A session during your stay at Bootcamp Beach to assess how you can change your diet to compliment your lifestyle.

Barbara will be trekking 100 miles in the Sahara Desert to raise money for Help the Heroes. She will be walking 20 miles every day for 5 days in 42°C of unshaded heat!
